About

Susanna Spencer has a Masters in Theology and a Bachelors in Philosophy and Theology from the Franciscan University of Steubenville.

She is a regular blog contributor at the National Catholic Register writing about the Church and liturgy, the call to holiness, virtue, family life, and books.

She writes regularly and is the theological editor for Blessed is She, an online Catholic women’s ministry which reaches tens of thousands of women daily through devotional emails on the daily Mass readings. She recently co-authored and co-edited a devotional book for children on virtue, Rise Up: Shining in Virtue.

She married her college sweetheart, Mark K. Spencer,  who teaches philosophy at the University of St. Thomas. She is a homeschooling mother of four in St. Paul, Minnesota.

In her spare time she discusses philosophy and theology with her husband, reads classic novels and theology, and grows and cooks delicious food.
